In 2013, the founding members, already involved in various associations, reflected together on how to create synergies between their fields of action. The idea emerged to bring together the most diverse expertise in a new organisation around a shared vision: promoting the spirit of volunteering among senior experts, professionals still in activity and young people seeking supervised action in the service of development.
Founding the association was a wonderful human adventure. It created bonds of friendship and solidarity between people from very different backgrounds, with a wide variety of academic and professional paths. Deploying our strategy has also led to rewarding achievements, the result of the combined efforts of each member.
After several years of activity, Experts Bénévoles pour le Développement has become a source of proposals, a resource mobiliser and a broker between development actors, seeking maximum synergy and convergence of actions and programmes.
In a society focused on individual performance and financial gain, our project explores a new paradigm: volunteering is not limited to the generosity of a good deed. It brings our volunteers personal fulfilment by leading lasting initiatives whose impact can be measured.
Initially focused on implementing integrated and replicable development project models, particularly in rural areas, our association has grown over the years thanks to contributions that broadened its scope, while passing on the same founding values.
Driven by the will to serve by volunteering its members' expertise for the community, particularly by encouraging intergenerational sharing, the association is organised into three focus areas: sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and education, childhood and youth.
Now operating on a national scale, our association is a recognised partner for many public institutions and development actors: the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of National Education, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Moulay Yacoub Province, OFPPT, ANAPEC, local authorities and professional bodies such as the Fès-Meknès Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2019, the association has been reaching out to similar networks to build international partnerships and explore new forms of cooperation, in order to expand its services and expertise and extend its reach.
In our commitment, our members give their time, but above all they put their heart into what they do. They share the same conviction: "You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give."
